A NORTHALLERTON church group is looking for donations of musical instruments.
The CRUTCH charity, which runs a breakfast club at Church House, on Romanby Road, to provide food and company for people in need, was recently given a picnic bench by the Rotary Club of Northallerton to assist with social distancing.
During discussions, organiser David Derbyshire spoke about his vision for the future of the breakfast club, which included the provision of musical instruments which the club's guests could learn to play together.
The Rotary Club approached North Yorkshire County Council, which provided 12 West African drums to kick start the plan.
The group would now like to receive gifts of other types of instruments to further this project. If anyone has any instruments which they would like to donate to the group, contact Rotarian John Proud at northallertonrotary+music@gmail.com
