THE graves of babies at a North East graveyard have been reportedly left damaged and attacked in a sickening act of vandalism.
Graves at Durham Road Cemetery in Stockton have been left damaged as Cleveland Police have launched an investigation.
It is understood the campaign of damage took place over a three-week period prior to Saturday, April 30.

The extent of the damage has not been revealed, although items including ornaments and vases have been reportedly stolen and smashed.
Meanwhile, flowers belonging to some of the graves have been left strewn.
In a statement, Cleveland Police said: "Anyone with information regarding these incidents or those responsible for the damage is asked to contact PC Anthony Wraith from Stockton Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101, quoting incident number 072254.
"Independent charity Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111, or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
