Who is Jessica Barden? – The Northallerton actor starring in this hit new Netflix show

Jessica Barden was born in the North Yorkshire town in 1992 and moved away to Wetherby, West Yorkshire when she was three.

Ms Barden is best known for her role as Alyssa in the Channel 4 comedy-drama series “The End of the F*****g World.”

She has also appeared in a number of films including Hanna, The Lobster, The New Romantic and Pink Skies Ahead.

However, she is currently starring in hit Netflix TV show Pieces of Her as Jane.

What is Pieces of Her?

Pieces of Her is a hit new Netflix show adapted from the Karin Slaughter novel of the same name featuring Toni Collette.

The series sees a woman piece together her mother’s dark past after a violent attack in their small town brings threats and deadly secrets to light.

The show has received mix reviews with an IMDB score of 6.5 out of 10 an 8.5 out of 10 on Nextflicks, however it has only scored a 48 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Have I seen her in anything?

Ms Barden’s acting debut started in 1999 with a small role in an episode of the television series “My Parents Are Aliens.”

She has since appeared in episodes of the series No Angels and The Chase and in 2007 she appeared in the role of Kayleigh Morton in popular ITV soap opera Coronation Street continuing until 2008.

Barden has also appeared in the film Hannah, where she played the role of Sophie and played Blake in the film The New Romantic in 2018.
