A WENSLEYDALE author has released a new book on the adventures of her best friend.
Hannah Russell was just 17 when her first book was published featuring her miniature Shetland Little Alf. Fast forward eight years, and she has now released her 14th book based on the adventures of the pony.
Aimed at fans under six, “Little Alf and the farmyard friends” is the title of her latest in the series. It has been described as a bedtime story for children.
Little Alf stands at just 28 inches tall due to having dwarfism. He came to live with Hannah in 2012, giving her a new focus after dropping out of college.
“I love writing the Little Alf books," said Hannah.
“His following keeps growing online and his books get shipped around the world.
“I never imagined we would be where we are today all those years ago.”
Now a household name. Little Alf has gained a worldwide fan base. The books have been published in many languages and have been best-selling and merited numerous awards.
