DARLINGTON town centre was lit up for a new festival.
Darlington Lights festival finished on Sunday after six nights.
It saw a number of installations put up around the town centre, including work by students at Darlington College, who had created a display of Chinese lanterns to coincide with Chinese New Year.

Families had the chance to interact with some of the pieces, including the Celestial Soundcloud, by at St Cuthbert's Church, and The Stars Come Out, in the Market Place.
The Celestial Soundcloud, by Pif Paf, allows people to dance to trigger movement sensors - allowing them to play the cloud like an instrument.
The Stars Come Out, by Stallar Project, had featured in the Durham Lumiere festival in 2019.
Other venues, like Queen Street shopping centre, the indoor market and businesses like Light Owl and Steven Hall Salon were also involved.
Gillian Anderson had also made strings of jumbo light shades, which were strung up in Post House Wynd, where she has a shop.
The clock tower was also turned red, white and blue to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen's accession to the throne
Poor weather and high winds on Saturday meant two of the art pieces in the Market Place and St Cuthbert's Church did not go ahead.
Councillor Jonathan Dulston, Deputy Leader of Darlington Borough Council, said: "The first ever Darlington Lights was a real winter warmer for our town centre, and it was great to see so many people getting involved, from businesses to students and the general public.
"The feedback I've heard has been positive, people appreciated the effort that had gone into brightening up the cold, dark winter evenings.
"It was a shame that the weather meant we had to make some last-minute changes to the programme, but the event was still a huge success. 2022 promises to be a big year for events in Darlington town centre - this was just the beginning, so watch this space!"
