MEMBERS of Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club have raised more than £3,000 for the 2021 captains’ charity, Herriot Hospice Homecare at The Lambert.
A cheque for £3,304 was presented to Lucy Turner, community and events manager for Herriot Hospice Homecare, by the 2021 captains Maggie Griffin and Colin Northridge.
The charity is transforming the former Lambert Hospital in Thirsk back into use as community hub for people living with terminal illness and bereavement in Hambleton and Richmondshire.
The 2022 Captains, Dr Lesley Thom and Matt Creighton, have also chosen the Lambert project as their charity for the year.
