A HR manager who launched her own business at the start of the pandemic has seen demand soar so much she has moved into her dream office in her home town.
Claire Bean, from Bedale, always wanted to work with and support small to medium-sized local businesses with their HR needs because they often could not justify their own employed HR staff.
After 30 years in the public and private sector, she took voluntary redundancy from her post as a senior HR manager at North Yorkshire Police in March 2020.
“This gave me the opportunity to do what I’ve always wanted to do," she said." Despite launching my business, North Yorkshire HR Solutions, at the start of the pandemic, word of mouth saw my business grow so much so that I have now moved into an office in Bedale Hall, the obvious choice for a Bedale-based business and daughter of former Bedale business owner and Mayor, Bob Pocklington.
“I do have a 100 per cent success rate in keeping my clients out of employment tribunals and I want to carry on that work to support small to medium local businesses with their HR needs."
