FROM machinery worth thousands of pounds to £5 fridges, the auction list for the assets and equipment at Cleveland Bridge's Darlington headquarters makes for shocking viewing.
An auction is due to take place on Wednesday, with a total of 2,435 items available and expected to change hands.
The sale is described as "Heavy fabrication and metalworking machinery and equipment, including welding, shotblast, machine tools, containers, lifting equipment and vehicles."

With a deposit of 25 per cent, buyer's premium of 15 per cent and 20% VAT to be added, there will be expected to be some hefty sums being exchanged.
The whole tragic collapse has only happened over a few shocking weeks, so buyers know most of the equipment was operated until very recently so will be well-maintained and ready for use.
But beyond the heavy machinery and industrial mechanics, mundane office supplies and decorative wall art are also up for grabs.
The Northern Echo visited the Yarm Road site on Tuesday to see what was up for offer.
The item with the highest price tag is currently a Corimpex FEMS-R 1250 EDGE PLANER, no. 864/20W, year of manufacture 2020, with Schneider Magelis, priced at £45,500 at the time of writing.
Manufacturing vehicles such as cranes, fork lift trucks, vans and buggies can also be snapped up.
Drills are priced from £5 while hammers, chisels, nuts and bolts can all be bought for pennies.
Want to buy a toaster, microwave, fridge or dishwasher for £5? Now is your chance. Dozens of computers and laptops are modestly priced, starting at £10.
The fine work of a group of apprentices will also go under the hammer. With a starting price of £20 a Steel Fabricated Artwork, Nicknamed "The Shaggin Dogs" could be yours to keep in your garden.
The Steel Structure of the Cleveland Bridge Logo seen outside the gates of the Yarm Road site is on sale for £300.
Potential buyers are warned "All lots are sold as seen and where lying. It is assumed that all bidders have viewed lots to their satisfaction prior to bidding.
All sold lots must be paid for in full within 48 hours of the invoice date and will be cleared from the site by 4pm on Friday December 3.
The sale will be a bitter moment for more than 150 workers who have had their lives turned upside down by the sheer speed of the financial crash, the calling in of administrators, the failure of the search for a buyer and now this last option.
