BEDALE AFC held a charity bingo evening at Bedale Sports Club and Community Centre last Friday to raise money for Lily and Isla, the daughters of Richard "Rocco" Lambert who used to play for the club but who has died aged 44.
The bingo caller was Pete Durrans and 68 guests enjoyed a pie and pea supper donated free of charge from Mark Gatenby of Vale of Mowbray at Leeming Bar, and Stephen Hall of Hall’s Fish and Chips.
A total of £900 was raised on the evening which was presented to Rocco’s brother Gus, by Bedale AFC football manager Al Pattison.
