TOP of the bill on Saturday at this weekend’s Leyburn Jazz Festival is international star Ian Shaw, described as one of the most distinctive and creative jazz singers the UK has produced, as well as being a talented pianist and song writer.
Twice voted “best jazz vocalist” at the BBC Jazz Awards and a regular performer at Ronnie Scott’s Club in London, he tops a triple bill on Saturday evening which includes the Paul Edis Triptych and the Jack Pearce Quartet.
Other events take place at Tennants Garden Rooms in Leyburn and at venues in the town centre from 2pm today through to the Pedigree Jazz Band on Sunday afternoon.
