FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a kitchen fire.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called at 1.19pm yesterday (October 11) to a property in Norby in Thirsk.

A spokesman for the service said: "Crews from Thirsk, Ripon and Northallerton attended a kitchen fire this afternoon.

"All persons were out of the property and safe, on arrival of Fire and Rescue crews.

"Crews entered the property in breathing apparatus and extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets."
