GOLFERS came together on Saturday for an event to support young footballers, and a charity close to their hearts.
The second Northallerton Town Juniors golf day, held at Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club, saw 34 teams compete to raise funds for the club, and in aid of Epilepsy Action.
The charity, which was chosen because three of the young members have the condition, will receive £500 from the day, while about £4,500 was made for the club.
Vice-chairman Steve Burn said charities with a connection to members were always chosen. He added: "It was just a fantastic day, and amazing how everybody comes together to support us."
