FORD enthusiast Andy Ellis is celebrating organising a successful day at Tennant’s Auctioneers in Leyburn when the Tennant’s Retroford meeting saw nearly £700 raised for a local charity.

With a good turn out of fellow enthusiasts who brought their various cars to display, altogether a total of £671.20 was raised for the Breast Cancer Charity at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.

Andy said: “I'd like to thank Kevin Brown and his crew for their help in the car park along with Nigel Shaw and Ed Baldwin. A big thank you to my wife June for sorting the raffle and also to local businesses who supplied us with raffle prizes. A special mention of thanks to Rodney and Ali Tennant for allowing us to hold this meet.”

Local companies who donated prizes included Argos, Barkers Northallerton, Lewis & Cooper, Poppit's Baby Boutique, Shildon Locomotion Museum, Hambleton District Council, Tesco, Bettys, Gazmatic International, Bedale Motor Factors, Masons of Yorkshire, Retro Ford Magazine, Steven Handley, John Waide, Steve Saxty, Diane Brown & Kevin, Chris Hodgson and a very kind donation from Ford Taunus Club, GB (Royster Townsend).
