TICKETS are on sale for the popular Duck Race in Richmond, which will take place on July 18.
Organisers Richmond Duck Club said people can buy tickets from various locations including Neeps & Tatties, The Golden Lion, and The Ship Inn. They will also be sold in the Market Square on June 22, and July 3, 10, 11 and 17.
Tickets are £1 each, and all proceeds go towards local children. There is a first prize of £300, a second prize of £150 and a third prize of £75, while the last duck home wins £25 for its owner.
In addition to this year's usual event, there is a special category for Richmond Pubs and Hotels, with entries from The Holly Hill, The Castle Tavern, The Black Lion Hotel, The Ship, The Buck Inn, The Ralph Fitz Randal, The Golden Lion, The Unicorn, The Frenchgate Hotel, The Fleece Hotel, The Turf Hotel, The Bishop Blaize, The Talbot and The Town Hall.
The race starts at 2pm at the Green Bridge over the River Swale.
