AFTER a steady few weeks of tennis returning to some degree of normality through the reintroduction of senior and youth club nights, members at Northallerton Tennis Club enjoyed an evening of competitive play on Thursday when the first of the annual club tournaments was held.
Eight mixed couples competed for the Kilding Cup. This was lovely to see with no tournaments having taken place in 2020.
There were several tight games and the winners, Graham Iveson and Margaret Fenwick, scraped home by only three points. The club is hoping to run all its internal competitions this year after missing out in 2020 and is looking forward to a full season of play.
