AN appeal has been made after a driver damaged an Audi before getting out a knife and threatening the male occupant. 

It happened on the A66 on Wednesday, April 28 at the Eaglescliffe exit, onto Darlington Road.

Police say the driver of a blue Skoda Fabia caused damage to a black Audi A1, before producing a knife and threatening the male occupant of the Audi.

It was reported to have happened at about 4.45pm. 

Inquiries are on-going.

Police would like to speak to anyone with information or dash cam footage which could assist with the investigation.
