Darlington Building Society NYSD ECB – Premier League

HARTLEPOOL maintained their 100 per cent winning start to the season, maximising 75 points from their first three matches. They journeyed to Great Ayton and posted a massive 269-5 declared, with Harry Crawshaw, who has worked very hard in early season, scoring an excellent 117. Paul Braithwaite added 63 and Alan Tebbett made a half century. In reply, Mike Ellison claimed three wickets and the home side were eventually all out for 150.

Richmondshire are second, as they reduced Stokesley to 35-6 at one stage, thanks to Shaun Charlton (4-20) and Ajay Mandal (4-34), but Robert Foreman (34) and Tom Preece (49), put on 49 runs for the seventh wicket, to total 129 all out. Gary Pratt with 55 not out and Mike Layfield with 38, scored the required runs, as they secured victory on 130-3.

Saltburn are third, as they batted first at home to Billingham Synthonia, with Gareth Shaw thumping 39 and then Ryan Gibson cracked 75, as they put on 100 runs for the first wicket, while Owen Tennant added 38, Liam Crooks 33 not out and Ben Ainsley (59), to total 279-8, while Ben Brown captured 4-56 with the ball.

In reply, Synners put 42 runs on for the first wicket as Ben Brown as scored 30 and Thomas Wing 34, but Alex Smith with 4-41, reduced them to 151-9 in the end.

Barnard Castle batted first at home to Middlesbrough and struggled early on, but skipper James Quinn made 36, Finn Usher (46no) and then Samarth Seth scored a brilliant century (112), to steady the ship and ended up on 243-6.

Boro started brightly, as James Lowe scored 37 and Joe Gaudie (73no), but then Robert West and Karl Carver broke through, but in the end they finished on 199-8.

Marske took first knock at Normanby Hall and Adam Hickey was in fine form, as he fired a magnificent 142 from 147 balls, which included 15 fours and four sixes, while Christopher Lince added 45 not out, in a final total of 254-7.

The home side faltered to 49-4, but Usman Arshad scored 51 and Waleed Rehman 31, but Chris Nicholls with 5-37 and Sam Berry 3-36, had the last say, as the home side ended up 140 all out.

Thornaby scored 246-5 at Marton, thanks to John Watson (78) and Husnain Bukhari (87), as they put on 124 runs for the third wicket. In reply, the home side struggled, with Lewis Harper taking 4-65 and finished on 190-9, thanks to Faizan Hussain scoring 53 not out.

Darlington Building Society NYSD ECB – Division One

Darlington are in third place, as they had a good win at Middlesbrough in the last over of the game. Batting first they posted a healthy 251-6, as Mathew Harwood made an excellent 96 and Andrew Peacock added 54, as they put on 109 runs for the fourth wicket.

Gopal Singh made 50 for the Boro, but Jonathan Barnes with 4-21 and Oliver King 3-32 were to strong for the home side, as they finished on 146 all out.

Darlington RA made 223-5, as they hosted Bishop Auckland at Brinkburn Road. Henry Blackett made 61 and Carl McGregor 70, while Scott Oldfield claimed 3-79. However, RA had to settle for the draw, as Callum Oldfield made 75 finishing on 169-8, despite Dale Marshall claiming 4-50 with the ball.
