A SCHEME that has helped fund more than 610 community projects in Richmondshire has another £50,000 in its pot.
Richmondshire District Council’s five Area Partnerships will each receive £10,000 to award to local projects.
The authority this week agreed to continue to support the partnership grants – which have helped secure around £1.89m in funding since it was launched.
The grants have been awarded to parish councils, community and sports groups for everything from large equipment purchases to smaller community noticeboards.
Last year £84,668 was given to 55 community schemes.
Council leader Angie Dale said: “This is a vital funding scheme for local projects – it’s been successfully received in the community over the last ten years, and it reaches into the heart of our communities."
The five partnerships are the Upper Dales, Central, Lower Wensleydale, Garrison and North Richmondshire.
