A CROP protection firm is spreading a little joy by hiding prize tickets in boxes of fungicide.

With spring rapidly approaching and arable growers, spray operators and agricultural contractors gearing up for the new spraying season, Adama has put 50 golden prize tickets in boxes of Arizona (500g/l folpet).

Prizes include ten £250 vouchers for Barbour clothing; ten £150 John Lewis vouchers; ten Lavazza coffee machines and coffee pods; and 20 Cadbury’s deluxe chocolate hampers.

Arizona features Adama’s MSI (Multi-Site Inhibitor) Protech technology that works against various bio-chemical pathways within fungal cells which, as well as providing cost-effective protection against septoria in wheat and rhynchosporium in barley, also boosts wheat and barley yields through enhanced crop greening.

Arizona also reduces yellow rust and protects against ramularia. And, because of its multi-site mode of action, it is less susceptible to resistance compared to single site chemistries (SDHIs, azoles, strobilurins) and can protect and prolong the effective life of partner products.

The golden tickets are valid until May 31 with winners required to register their details on the Adama website to receive their prize.
