DESPITE the lockdown and life generally being difficult, three young brothers from Upper Wensleydale are determined to keep dancing.
Rocco Grozne, four, Nico, five, and Rafael, seven, from Bainbridge, all train with experienced teacher, Janet Seymour.
Rafael has been dancing with Ms Seymour’s dance school since the age of three and is preparing for his second exam via Zoom with the Royal Academy of Dance. Nico was able to take and pass his first exam with the academy between lockdowns last year. The youngest sibling Rocco, couldn’t wait to start dancing and once he was three became a pupil just like his two big brothers.
Their mum Inese Grozne said: “It is nice that they can support each other. They are together in mischief and together in dance.”
Presently all dance classes are via Zoom, but during more “normal” times, the boys all attend the school’s Hawes and Askrigg venues.
Dance teacher, Ms Seymour said: “The boys’ mum, Inese, has been a great support, encouraging the boys to continue dancing throughout all the lockdowns via Zoom and they are really progressing, despite the circumstances.
“Even the snow doesn’t stop them dancing.”
