A FARMER has launched his autobiography to coincide with his third series as judge of the reality TV show Celebs on the Farm.

Chris Jeffery, has produced Farming, Celebs and Plum Pudding Pigs, which includes stories of his involvement with the show which started on Monday night on MTV and runs for two weeks.

He said: “If somebody had told me, two years ago, that I would have appeared on a television show with actress Linda Robson from Birds of a Feather, Duncan James from Blue, the model Caprice, singer Kerry Katona and Crissy Rock from Benidorm, or that we would be into a third series or that I’d have my own book out, I’d have laughed, I really would.”

Chris, who farms rare breed Whitebred Shorthorn cattle, Oxford Sandy and Black pigs and sheep as well as running Green’s Country Store with his wife Kate from Brompton-by-Sawdon, first appeared on The Yorkshire Vet with Julian Norton where he is now a regular.

Chris said: “It was the chemistry between myself and Julian that brought about the opportunity with Celebs on the Farm.

“This time we have filmed the whole show in Yorkshire, near Scarborough at Stepney Hill Farm, home of Ashley Tyson and his family.

He added: “It’s hilarious and well worth watching how the celebrities swap their usual glamorous lifestyles for muck and even more muck.”

Chris has been through some tough times in his life and said writing his book was emotional and deeply satisfying.

“ I think people will enjoy my journey,” he added.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes, some amazing ups and downs and there are lots of laughs too, but readers may also be shocked by some of it. I’ve had a colourful life.’

Farming, Celebs & Plum Pudding Pigs is published by Great Northern Books and is available through Amazon and book stores.
