A MOTORIST was taken to hospital with suspected head injuries following a car crash in Middlesbrough.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash on Parliament Road, Middlesbrough, involving a Vauxhall Astra and two other vehicles.

Officers were called to the crash at around 4.30pm on Tuesday December, 1.

The 34-year-old female driver of the Astra was taken to James Cook University Hospital with suspected head injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist the investigation, is asked to contact PC Matthew Carter from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 196300.
