An OSWESTRY business will be welcoming a piece of engineering from the future next month as it plays host to a newly-developed flying car.

Shropshire Design and Print Solutions is welcoming the vehicle, developed by Dutch manufacturers PAL-V, to its base in Maes Y Clawdd on Thursday, December 10.

The Oswestry-based business works with the Netherlands-based business, providing it with corporate clothing and other items.

Mike Webb, of Shropshire Design and Print Solutions, is looking forward to being the car’s home while it visits the area.

He said: “They’re going to bring it down here for us to take some photos of and have a look at it in person.

“It’s quite unusual really and certainly a bit different.

“They asked if we’d like to see it, so I agreed it would be a good idea.”

The car can carry two people and reach a driving speed of almost 100mph.

It can fly up to 3,500 metres.
