FURTHER permanent Covid-19 testing sites are to open in North Yorkshire this weekend including one in Northallerton.
The new site will be outside The Forum on Bullamoor Road, DL6 1LP. It is scheduled to be erected this week and come into full operation from Sunday November 29. Other sites are opening in Selby and Skipton.
The centres are indoors and allow walk-in appointments. People do not need to arrive in a vehicle, unlike drive-through mobile testing units where it is carried out inside a vehicle. They will be open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. Appointments must be booked in advance through the County Council’s website, www.northyorks.gov.uk/book-coronavirus-covid-19-test, or by calling 119. Bookings are taken from a radius of 10 miles.
