A SOCIAL enterprise which worked hard to provide locals with a mental health ‘boost’ during the first lockdown, has been chosen as one of the Co-Op’s Local Community Fund partners for the Leyburn store.
Group Hug is a social enterprise based in Wensleydale was founded by Jonathan Greenwood, and he aims to provide a safe space for people to ‘free their mind’, primarily via an app due to be released next spring.
He is in the process of raising funds for the app and this new appointment with the Leyburn Co-op is a ‘big development’ for the social enterprise.
The Co-Op already provided a lot earlier in the year helping to deliver a total of 1836 goody bags across Wensleydale in a ‘Covid-19 Secure Way’.
Mr Greenwood believes this partnership will make a significant difference to the growing social enterprise.
