AN ice cream maker has produced a product especially for dogs.

Brymor, based near Masham, is now stocking and distributing a lickable frozen yoghurt called Frozzys, helping dogs to cool off on hot days and delivering a range of important vitamins and minerals with every lick.

Brymor crafts real dairy ice cream from its own herd of dairy cows in the beautiful surroundings of North Yorkshire and has always welcomed dogs to its parlour.

A dedicated, securely-fenced exercise area means that dogs can stretch their legs and enjoy a play while their owners try the range of exciting Brymor flavours. There are stunning views of the moors of High Jervaulx where Brymor is based making it perfect for a family day out. Now, thanks to the addition of Frozzys, dogs can join in the summer fun with their own tasty treats.

Founded in 1984, Brymor is now stocked in more than 300 independent retailers, farm shops and selected supermarkets including Waitrose and Booths. All of Brymor’s ice cream is made by hand at the farm with the calves and young stock from the herd on public view, who will one day produce the milk Brymor use for the ice cream.

Frozzys is available in a range of flavours including original and blueberry – both of which are lactose free and low calorie. Frozzys frozen yoghurt is high in calcium and is packed with natural prebiotics for their health-boosting properties. This tasty lickable frozen yoghurt doesn't contain any artificial flavours, preservatives or colours so it makes the perfect nutritious treat for our four-legged friends.

Managing director Paul Hodgson said: “Brymor is pleased to be stocking the full range of Frozzy flavours on site here at the parlour and we have added them to our distribution list for our wholesalers and retailers. We’re delighted to be working with such a fantastic brand and to be able to offer man’s best friend a frozen treat when they visit Brymor.”
