POLICE, fire and council leaders from North Yorkshire are holding a live broadcast to tell people about the work that is being done across the county amid the Coronavirus crisis.

Residents and businesses will be able to put questions to the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan, Chief Constable Lisa Winward, Chief Fire Officer Andrew Brodie and Richard Flinton, Chief Executive of North Yorkshire county council and chair of the local resilience forum.

The update will be broadcast on YouTube at 1.30pm today, questions can be submitted beforehand by emailing info@northyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk, or posting on Twitter using the hashtag #NYScrutiny or commenting on Facebook.

Mrs Mulligan said; "In these uncertain times there needs to be a regular update on what the Coronavirus response is direct to residents and businesses. Not all questions will be able to be used, but they will inform the questioning and the general discussion.

"In this meeting we will hear from guest speaker Richard Flinton who will provide an update on the work of the North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum.
