A 27-year-old man was left with a suspected broken hip and hand after a crash involving a car and a quad bike.

It happened on Saturday, at about 4pm at the crossroads of Normanby Road, High Street and Cleveland Street in Normanby, near Middlesbrough.

Cleveland Police is appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

The crash involved a Hyundai Tucson and a quad bike.

The 27-year-old man, who was riding the quad, was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries. 

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident, or of the vehicles prior to the collision, is asked to contact PC Matthew Blades from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 51926."
