DOZENS of watches and other pieces of jewellery recovered by border police in Chile or Heathrow airport could be linked to burglaries in North Yorkshire.

Most of the watches, jewellery, handbags and diamonds, were recovered between December and February.

Officers in North Yorkshire are now investigating whether they are connected to recent burglaries which occurred in the Barlby, Hemingbrough, Copmanthorpe, Colburn, Bedale and Harrogate areas which occurred between December 2019 and February 2020.
