CALL centre staff are working through the Covid-19 crisis from home after their employer adapted the business with the outbreak looming.
Almost 1,000 ResQ contact centre sales agents have maintained their working capability, but from the safety of their homes in keeping with social isolation guidance.
The outsourcing company, with sites at Seaham in County Durham and in Hull, on Humberside, began preparations almost a month ago, when the Government announced its social distancing guidelines.
Its prompt actions and ability to adapt the business paid off as the majority of its sales agents are now able to work successfully from home.
ResQ expects to close its Hull office by the end of next week, with already 90-per cent of all staff working from home.
About 100 agents will remain working from the Seaham office, on the Spectrum Business Park, in a ‘key worker’ capacity, providing inbound customer care services for consumers.
The innovative homeworking solution was developed in house by ResQ’s IT team in just ten days.
