TV vet Julian Norton came to Guisborough bookshop to sign copies of his latest book, A Yorkshire Vet – A New Chapter.

The book follows Julian’s veterinary stories and amusing anecdotes through his work as a mixed practice vet in North Yorkshire.

His visit attracted many customers, who queued out of the door to purchase and get an individually signed copy.

Julian has spent more than 20 years working in Thirsk, following in the footsteps of James Herriot – the world-renowned vet and author.

This book follows Julian’s passion for treating the animals under his care, be they cows, sheep, pigs, horses, alpacas or dogs and cats, along with the interesting characters who own and care for them. It tracks his work around the North York Moors and, more recently, around the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Dales from his new veterinary home in Boroughbridge.

The book is published by Hodder & Stoughton, and costs £16.99.
