BLACKBURN Rovers hosted their annual #OneRovers day to celebrate inclusion and diversity.
Ahead of kick-off against Fulham last Saturday the players wore #OneRovers t-shirts, and as they walked out on the pitch were escorted by fans from local community groups.
The club said it wanted the fans to reflect the wider community.
CEO Steve Waggott said: “We have to celebrate everybody and everything that is going on at the club and in the local community, as we saw on Saturday at our annual OneRovers Day fixture, which represented a wide range of fans from our diverse community, that’s the club we want to engender.
"I’m big on community integration, BAME engagement, junior supporters, the Next Generation Stand. It’s a great club and we’re all in it together.”
Integration manager Yasir Sufi said: “As a club we are committed to ensuring all fans feel welcome when they visit Ewood."
Children from Olive Primary School and AHF FC formed the guard of honour for the players.
