A TOWN'S celebrity drag queen will be opening their doors to the homeless to spread some cheer on Christmas Day.

Darlington's Miss Annbag will welcome in those with nowhere to go on December 25 and offer somewhere warm with festive cheer, refreshments and mince pies.

This will be the fourth year in a row where the drag queen has welcomed people into her own home to bring them out of the cold on the festive day.

Miss Annbag said: "A few years ago I was struggling myself and ended up the the 700 Club and I know what it's like for people with addictions who are trying to get back on their feet, so I have always tried to help those who are homeless as best I can.

"Some people might not want to come because they feel embarassed but the offer is right there.

"It's nice when people come in and it's nice for them to feel at home when they would otherwise be feeling down or low, and for them to know people care."
