THE North Eastern Holstein Young Breeders recently took part in the National Holstein UK Weekend Rally in Carmarthen, South Wales.
The Saturday saw the national stock judging and linear competition. Thomas Atkinson and James Robinson came joint fourth in the intermediate linear team; Stephen Crozier was second in the individual senior linear, and Robert and Stephen Crozier won the senior linear team.
On the Sunday, the Field to Foto competition saw young members compete as a team to prepare and show a calf before photographing it. The North-East took two teams of five members for this competition. Lizzie Bradley came fourth in the showmanship for team A; Ben Robinson and Alfie Hall were fourth in the washing section for the B team. Team B came second in the photography section.
