PETROLHEADS and classic car enthusiasts will descend on Ripon Racecourse for the second classic car show to be held there, this year.

More than 500 classic cars of all types, motorcycles, historic vans, trucks and ex-military vehicles will take over the racecourse for the return of Ripon Classic Car and Bike Show and Auto Jumble on Sunday, August 25.

Organised by the bosses of Ripon Racecourse themselves, they promise the event will be jammed-packed with things to do, including a selection of stalls and traders from across the region.

Mark Woodward, organising the event, said: "Ripon is simply fantastic.

"There’s so much to do, and the showground is perfect for events of this size, so you can do it all in comfort.

"Get into gear for a great family day out, and end the summer holidays in style."

Darlington and Stockton Times:

It is expected that attendees from across the country will turn out to the event, with many expected to visit the independent and company-owned trade, tool, model, book and gift stands.

The Ripon Classic Car and Bike Show and Auto Jumble will open from 10am to 4pm.

Tickets for the event are £7 for adults, and £2.50 for children.

Dogs are welcome, although organisers stipulate they will need to remain on their leads.
