AN UPMARKET holiday park in the North York Moors National Park has been described as "excellent" in a recent AA inspection.

The award-winning Wayside Holiday Park at Wrelton, between Kirkbymoorside and Pickering, is owned by Yorkshire businessman Mark Goodson, who was "absolutely delighted" with the AA’s verdict.

The Park incorporates the flourishing £500,000 Wayside Lakes development. So far this year, four lodges, worth a total of more than £300,000, have been sold, and a static caravan has also been purchased at the Holiday Park, making a total sales figure of £350,000.

The development, whose focal point is two picturesque lakes, caters for up to 38 lodges. Already 18 have been bought and are occupied, with strong interest coming in for others from across the north of England. Prices start from £60,000, rising to £120,000.

Mr Goodson said: "These sales, combined with the AA’s tremendous endorsement, adds up a stunning first half of 2019 for us – and bodes really well for the year. This is despite the uncertainty of Brexit and the difficult political times."
