YOUNG sporting stars have been testing their skills in the School Games County Final.
The sporting spectacle, organised by Tees Valley Sport, took place at Middlesbrough Sports Village and Tennis World, with competitors of all ages and abilities from over 40 different Schools taking part.
Middlesbrough Mayor Andy Preston said: βIt was fantastic to see so many schools across Tees Valley united, celebrating sport and physical activity together.β
Trying out different events
In addition to the competitive games were a range of try-it sessions, including rugby, judo, boxing, archery and more. Led by local clubs and players this provided an opportunity to inspire young girls to try new and different sports.
