THE untold story of an actor best known for his roles in the popular Carry On film series will be presented at a North-East film club next month.
Peter Butterworth appeared in 16 of the films, including Carry On Camping, which will be screened at Darlington Film Club on Monday, June 10.
The actor’s son, Tyler Butterworth, will then take to the stage to talk about his father. As well as his acting career, Mr Butterworth will speak about his father’s time as a prisoner of war in Stalag Luft III, most famous for the breakout which formed the basis of the film The Great Escape.
