TOP comedian Jack Dee will be appearing at The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on two dates next month.

His show Jack Dee – Work in Progress will offer a sneak preview of new material for his forthcoming UK tour and demand for tickets is expected to be high on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, at 8pm.

“In these difficult and uncertain times people need hope – a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s very much where I come in,” says Jack.

Established as one of Britain’s best-loved and biggest comedy stars, Jack Dee is known for his dry humour and deadpan delivery. His TV career began in 1991 with Channel 4’s The Jack Dee Show, and he went on to write and star in many acclaimed TV comedies, including Jack Dee’s Saturday Night and Jack Dee’s Happy Hour. In 2004, he hosted the BAFTA nominated Jack Dee Live at the Apollo.

In 2009, Jack became chairman of the hugely popular BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry, I Haven’t a Clue. He is also the author of the bestselling autobiography, Thanks for Nothing, and has co-written and starred in four series of the BBC Two sitcom, Lead Balloon.

Other credits include Jack Dee’s HelpDesk, which toured live around the country and was broadcast on BBC Two in the run-up to the 2015 general election, the 2016 EU referendum and the 2017 presidential inauguration. Also, in the run-up to the EU referendum, Jack starred in Channel 4’s topical comedy series Power Monkeys.

In 2015, Jack became the host of The Apprentice: You’re Fired and The Apprentice: You’re Hired (BBC Two) and starred as Geoff in series three of the BBC sitcom Josh. He has also co-written and starred in the hit ITV series Bad Move which will be returning this year for a second series.

The show carries a 14-plus parental guidance. There is likely to be swearing and adult content.
