HOLIDAYMAKERS who have returned from Sri Lanka are being asked to contact the police if they have any information following the Easter Sunday attacks.

Durham Police have shared the national appeal and is urging any North-East residents to get in touch if they saw anything.

Anyone who has images or footage taken immediately prior to, during or after any of the attacks can also upload them via the secure website at ukpoliceimageappeal.co.uk

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command are collating witness statements, as well as any first-hand footage or images from the scenes of the attacks.

This material will then be looked at by officers to assess it for use in any subsequent coroner’s inquests.

Support online and on the phone is also available to anyone who was impacted by the attacks, including witnesses and families of victims.
