A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to following an armed robbery at a petrol station.

The robbery happened at the Jet Service Station on Norton Road, Stockton, at about 8.20pm on Sunday March 25 last year.

Detectives are releasing the image the same day that the man's accomplice Stephen Small, 49, was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison at Teesside Crown Court.

A woman was given an electric shock with a stun gun and was assaulted during the robbery, where thousands of pounds were stolen by the two men.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries.

Officers would ask anyone who may know the identity of the male in the image to contact them, as he may be able to help with their enquiries.

He is described as a white male, around 5ft 6ins tall, with a grey, short stubbly beard and of stocky build.

Detective Constable Rachael Johnson, of Cleveland Police, said she was pleased with the sentence but added: "There is another man that police want to speak to in connection with this incident, and today we are releasing an image of him in a bid to identify him."
