THE bomb squad have been called to reports of an 'unexploded bomb' which was discovered at a trading estate on Monday (March 18).
Police said they were called to reports of a 'suspicious item' that had been found at the Gallowfields Trading Estate in Richmond, North Yorkshire at around 1pm.
A 100-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution.
Adam Collins, parts manager at Nissan Richmond Motor Services Ltd, which trades on the estate said: "From what we've heard, another business was moving to a different location and they found possibly a bomb.
"We haven't been evacuated yet, they have put a cordon out to stop vehicles from coming anywhere near it."
At around 3pm, a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said the cordon was due to be lifted.
