MORE pictures have emerged of youngsters 'surfing' on the backs of moving vehicles in Darlington town centre.

Police have issued warnings over the dangerous trend after youths were filmed hanging off the back of an Arriva bus.

Now, The Northern Echo was passed more images of anti-social behaviour, this time riding on the back of a Greggs van.

An eyewitness said: "I work on Bondgate so it was easy to see all that went down.

"I recognised the same youth from the bus joyride video so he is clearly playing king of the mountain in (the) town centre.

"I feel the police need to make an example of these kids so the rest see it's not all cat and mouse. Your actions have consequences."

Arriva North East said that it was fully investigating the bus 'surfing' incident.

Nick Knox , managing director, said: “Full and thorough investigations are now being carried out, assisted by the both the police and the anti-social team.

"We have a close working partnership with the police and the council to stop any anti-social behaviour in the town and keep our staff and customers safe."

Greggs plc declined to comment on the lorry incident.
