A INITIATIVE that provides skills-based activities for people suffering from mental health problems has been re-launched.
The Skill Mill, based at Northdale Horticulture, in Yafforth Road, Northallerton, is offering places to people recovering from mental health illness.
Clients can take part in a wide range of activities that include, woodwork, upholstery, ceramics, arts and crafts and horticulture.
The relaunch and open day was attended by Rishi Sunak MP who spoke of the importance of community mental health support services.
People with mental health issues from Hambleton and Richmondshire can be referred to the service by their GP or another health professional. They can also approach the centre direct on 01609-770269 to discuss their circumstances or book a free one-day trial.
