BOSSES at a children's theatre have said their audiences will be able to enjoy "world-class" performances over the coming months after announcing their spring performance line-up.
The new season at Darlington's Theatre Hullabaloo will start with the opening of Dreamland in the venue’s Gillian Dickinson Creative Play space, a sensory play installation that welcomes children four-and-under to take a journey above the clouds.
The theatre programme gets underway in the February half term with Grandad’s Island, based on Benji Davies’ book, which involves a heartwarming adventure filled with laughter and songs.
The venue will also welcome back Australian company Slingsby after the success of The Young King with the intriguing and delightful show Emil and the Detectives/
Miranda Thain, artistic producer at Theatre Hullabaloo, said: “After a successful 2018 at The Hullabaloo, we are proud to present a strong spring 2019 programme that offers a mix of international theatre for children and young people of all ages, alongside a wide range of activities such as storytelling and arts and crafts for all the family.
