CHRIS MORTON, of the Northallerton Camera Club, has recently had success in the Holland International Image Circuit which is a bi-annual photographic competition open to photographers worldwide.

It is judged in five locations by different groups of judges across Holland and is one of the more prestigious international photographic competitions. The competition took place recently and the standard of the entry was, as always, very high.

There are three sections, which are for Colour Open Subject, Mono Open subject, and Travel Digital Images. Entrants can enter up to four images in each section, and the judges set a standard which entrants must achieve in order to be included in the Catalogue and in the Exhibition which follows the selection. Chris has entered several times with varying success, but this year achieved an acceptance rate of just over 50%, with around 25% being the level sought by the judges, and all 12 of his images received at least one acceptance. He is looking forward to the next Circuit, which will be in 2020.
