A NEW exhibition of paintings celebrating the age of the steam train is set to open at Darlington's railway museum.
Artist Stephen Bainbridge has been working with acrylic and watercolour for over forty years and regularly holds exhibitions throughout the region, this time at the Head of Steam.
He moved to the North East after teaching in Buckinghamshire for thirty six years. His pictures often reflect his lifelong passion for the days of steam railways.
Leona White-Hannant, Head of Steam’s manager and curator, said: “We’re delighted to once again have Mr Bainbridge exhibiting his work at the museum. His work is always extremely popular with our visitors.”
The exhibition opens at the museum this Saturday, January 19,and runs until Sunday, March 3. Normal admission charges apply.
