ON Thursday 29th November REC Arenas in North Yorkshire held an Annual Charity Evening for McMillan Cancer Support & to help raise money for a BS Judge to build her disabled child a specialist wheelchair. The Mcmillan Cancer was suggested by myself as I have just had a Brain Tumour removed and was supported by the charity through this operation. Donna & Rennie Wood who run REC Areans asked me to name the charity I would like to raise funds for & we went ahead with organising the event.

The event was an amazing success and over 400 people attended. The schedule of the evening was fantastic, starting the evening with Paul & Bobby Hayler performing a dressage to music demonstration.

The National ROR Champion Beth Hutchinson brought her two horses and put on a small display. The Zetland Hunt Pony Club & The Glaisdale Pony Club went head to head in a Games Competition. Local competetive riders in BE & BS competed in a Mini Major competition. The major riders jumped a course at 1.20 & the minis some only 7yrs old jumped a 90cm course against the clock.

REC arenas were very generous and hosted the event and donated the monies taken from the entries & the raffle to the value of £1500.
