CRAFTERS now have a one-stop shop in Bishop Auckland.
That's after the store Just Like Grandma's opened, in Fore Bondgate, Bishop Auckland.
Owner Wendy Preston said interest is high in the new store, which offers services from 11 local crafters with everything from cakes to homemade gifts and even a haberdashery where clients can make their own creations.
Ms Preston, of Wolsingham, ran the business from Bondgate Bed Centre for about a year and moved to the new premises as the business had expanded.
The business is also a supporter of the Angel Trust and hopes to provide workshops for groups in the future.
The new shop was opened by Durham County Councillor for Bishop Auckland Town, Joy Allen, on November 10.
Cllr Allen said: "I am delighted to see unique independent shops like Just Like Grandma's choosing to set up businesses on Bishop Auckland. Fore Bondgate is rapidly becoming Bishop Auckland’s creative quarter.
"Talented local artists and designers are bucking the high street trend by opening an array of new stores catering from both local residents and tourists."
