STAINDROP Young Farmers handed over a charity cheque to Joanne from The Great North Air Ambulance for a grand total of £1,574.72 on Monday, November 26.

The money was raised during the year by various fundraising events such as carol singing, muck chuck, raffles at social events and a coffee morning.

Alice Wood, secretary of the club said: "I would like to thank all club members, past and present, who have helped out in any way to help raise such a fabulous amount of money for our chosen charity this year.

"Also, a huge thank you to the community who have supported our events. Without your support, we wouldn’t have been able to raise what we have."

Staindrop Young Farmers are raising money this year for Teesdale Cancer Trust and Mountain Rescue charities.

The club meets on Mondays at Winston Village Hall at 7.30pm. If anyone is interested in joining, find us on Facebook at Staindrop YFC.
